THE 2nd XI beat Little Baddow in a high-scoring game to seal their third win in a row.

The visitors batted first and made a colossal 312 from their 45 thanks to a fantastic 131 from Mark O’Neill. He was well supported by Dean Henry (44) – with the two combining to put on 114 for the fourth wicket.

After 35 overs, the score was 177-4, but some explosive hitting from Rob Neal, Jordan Owen and Matt Diprose got Thurrock to a commanding position.

The hosts put up a good effort, with seven batsmen at least getting double figures. D.Bates was left stranded on 61 as none of his fellow partners could stick around long enough. Dan George ripped through the middle order and finished with 4-56, while Henry continued his good day with three, including both openers.
