UKIP have selected local Biomass campaigner and London Road resident Helen Adams as the candidate for the West Thurrock and South Stifford by-election on 10th September.
Helen Adams said: "I have been knocking on doors, petitioning against the new Biomass plant to be built in West Thurrock. If I am fortunate enough to be your new councillor I will fight against this in the Council Chamber just as I have already done in the community.
"Like many residents, I’ve had trouble with the Council not collecting our bins. Now they want to give us a fourth bin. Where are they going to go?
"We’ve seen many changes here no one voted for. The Lorry Park went through, causing more traffic here. Labour have let us down."
