A THURROCK couple are set to travel to the temporary camps in Calais with supplies
Graham and Rachel Marshall are members of St Margaret’s church in Stanford-le-Hope.
The church and its congregation has become very well known for its outreach work.
Rachel said: "We, like many others, have been deeply moved by the plight of the people who are living in squalor in the area around Calais. We have learned that there is a great need for basic items that the people of Thurrock may want to help with.
The most urgent needs are for medical supplies, items for personal hygiene, non-perishable food stuff and materials for making shelters. We intend to take supplies to Calais before the end of this month.
