JUST under 150 runners took part in the fourth Mel Batty Memorial 10K.
The course started at Thurrock Rugby Club and then wound its way round the Orsett lanes before coming back into Blackshots and not the Harriers track.
Southend AC’s Paul Whittaker came home first in a swift 31.48.
First home athlete was Thurrock Harriers Alex Finch in 33.46.
First female home was Thurrock’s Gemma Holloway in 37.42.
