THE 2015 Orsett Show takes place this Saturday 5 September 2015 between 9.00am and 5.00pm at the Orsett Showground, Orsett, Essex. This year’s Show will be the 109th Show making it one of the oldest one-day Country Shows in England and this year looks like being another bumper Show with something for everyone! Set in 30 acres of Essex countryside in the village of Orsett, the annual Orsett Show is a great day out with attractions for all the family and is one of, if not the, most popular family event in Thurrock.
At the Show, there are marquees featuring Horticulture, Agriculture, Hobbies & Handicrafts, Schools, Craft Stalls and over 150 Trade Stands. The Thurrock Community Chest will also be holding their Annual Prize Draw at the Orsett Show, where the top prize is a car! Just think you could attend the Orsett Show and leave having won a car!! There’s an ever-changing programme of exciting displays in the Grand Display Ring and events and competitions throughout the day in the Horse Rings. On the Family Stage, there will be dancing performances by Move It Dance School, a performance of Bugsy Malone from All Star Academy, music from Sentimental Journey who will be singing a set as a memorial to the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a Yamaguchi Goju Kai Karate demonstration, a performance from Youth Creation, music from local 19 year old Louis Sorrell Wilde who will be singing a Michael Buble tribute set, a performance from Blaze and Chafford Cheerleading, entertainment by Lauren Jones, who is a 22 year old local singer, who will be singing a set of popular current chart hits, entertainment by Josh James, who is a 24 year old singer who covers a wide genre of music styles. Josh represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 and was the Winner of ‘Your Country Needs You’ hosted by Graham Norton. Josh has also appeared alongside Stephen Malhern as Prince Charming in Panto and much, much more…….
There will also be Bubble Football in the area all day.
