Forum on ageing set to come to Thurrock

    FUTURE East the Regional Forum on Ageing are holding a open meeting on 8th September at the Beehive,West Street ,Grays.

    The event is free to the over fifties and starts at 9:45-10:00 with Coffee/tea on arrival

    Speakers include Les Billingham on Care and support in Thurrock.

    A spokesperson said: "The vision for the future is that:

    All people in Thurrock will have the opportunity to enjoy independent, rewarding and healthy lives in communities that are welcoming, inclusive, supportive, safe and secure

    Our approach to this is called ‘Building Positive Futures’. Building Positive Futures is about local people and organisations working together in new and innovative ways, joining together to provide the support that people need.     " Scams are schemes to con you out of your money, they can arrive by post, phone call, text message or email, or from someone coming to your home. Fake lotteries, bogus psychic predictions, get-rich-quick investments and ‘miracle’ health cures are just some of the tricks that scammers try. Lunch is provided and there will be National ,Regional and Locality updates on how we are speaking up for our age.
