ESSEX Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a house in Tilbury during the early hours of this morning, Monday, September 14.
Raphael Avenue between Sullivan Road and St Chads Road is currently closed as investigations continue after police were contacted just after 12.35am this morning.
A front window of a house in Raphael Avenue was smashed after witnesses report seeing a firearm discharged from the rear passenger window of a dark coloured 4X4 vehicle which then left the scene.
No one was injured.
DI Rob Huddleston said: "All the information we have at this time suggests this is very much an isolated incident and I would seek to reassure local residents that they are safe.
"We have some fast moving early investigations in place and are working hard to find the people responsible.”
