Staines Town 3 v 2 East Thurrock United
EAST Thurrock United’s frustrating season continued as they went down 3-2 to Stanes Town.
It was an uphill battle from the 13th minute when Ricky Hayles was sent off for a foul which conceded a penalty
Staines’ Pat Cox scored from the spot. Lewis Smith levelled four minutes later.
The Rocks held on until Prince M’bengui put Staines ahead again in the 39th minute.
East Thurrock dug in and earned an equaliser through Sam Higgins in the 78th minute.
But it was flying winger Luke Wanadio who broke the Rocks hearts with an 87th minute winner.
The defeat sees Rocks drop to 18th place in the league.
