A CONCERTED campaign supported by UKIP’s Tim Aker has led to Thurrock Coucnil deciding to not demolish the high flats in Grays.
There had been a series of meetings throughout the summer where a large number of residents expressed their concerns that their homes would be demolished to make way for new dwellings and an uncertain future.
UKIP MEP for the East of England, Tim Aker took on board the concerns oh the residents.
On Wednesday night (Sept 23rd) a small delegation marched on Thurrock Council, a resident spoke to Thurrock Council and at the end of the meeting, the leader of Thurrock Coucnil, cllr John Kent told those present that the flats would not be demolished.
