A COFFEE morning organised by the North Stifford WI has raised over £700 for MacMillan, the cancer charity.
The event was hosted by Hogg Lane resident, Kathy Jones, who held the event at her house.
But before that, the good ladies of the North Stifford WI had taken part in a number of events to raise money.
And even Kathy’s grandson Ryan helped out by putting his tooth fairy money back in the charity tin.
In recognition of all the hard work, Thurrock’s mayor, cllr Sue Gray came round to present a bouquet of flowers (as well as have a coffee and a cake).
