Police appeal after ten large bus batteries found in Purfleet

ESSEX Police are trying to trace the owners of ten large commercial bus batteries.

The items were found when two men were arrested in Dolphin Way, Purfleet, on August 13 and officers believe they may have been stolen in a burglary.

A 34-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of an offensive weapon and a 35-year-old man from Kent was arrested on suspicion of theft, burglary, possession of an offensive weapon and driving without insurance.

Both were released on bail until October 11 pending further enquiries.

Anyone who believes they are the owners of the batteries is asked to call Pc Kelly Walker at Grays police station on 101.
