AS part of its 25 and fabulous birthday celebrations this October, intu Lakeside will be inviting students to slip on their baggy jeans, squeeze into their crop tops and pull on their fluffy jumpers for a 90s themed flashback student shopping event on Wednesday 7th October.
Students will be invited to enter a ‘save zone’ and grab a bargain from the centre’s wide range of stores. From 7.30pm onwards Kiss FM’s breakfast trio Ricky, Melvin and Charlie will be at the centre playing some old school 90s anthems for students to enjoy whilst shopping for the latest trends.
intu Lakeside knows that students love to shop which is why the student discount event is returning for a second year! Retailers at the centre will be offering up to 40% off items so that students can treat themselves to that handbag or pair of jeans that they’ve been lusting after. Perhaps they’ll end up with 90s fever and find themselves shopping for the 90s fashion revival in Topshop/Topman, scented gel pens from Paperchase or funky hair scrunchies from Claire’s. Whilst at the event students can make the most of the generous discounts on offer and get a head start on this year’s Christmas shopping.
intu Lakeside is also offering the first 500 students through the door a free goodie bag full of exciting gifts so make sure you arrive early to avoid disappointment and bag yourself further bargains.
Along with offering old school music, goodie bags and fun free activities to take part in, the shopping centre has also partnered with brands such as Desperados and Cocio Chocolate Milk to ensure that visitors can enjoy the ultimate 90s student experience.
The fun filled 90s celebrations will continue throughout October as intu Lakeside celebrates its 25th birthday.
