THE MET office has issued a weather warning for Thurrock.
Their website states:
Heavy rain will affect parts of south and southeast England during Monday afternoon and evening, clearing away by late evening.
The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding and possible minor disruption to transport.
A very complex area of low pressure will bring warm, moist air northwards into Britain. There is a developing signal for heavy rain to affect some southeastern parts of England later on Monday.
Some doubt remains about amounts and areas affected, but a few places may receive more than 15 mm of rain in an hour, with overall totals perhaps in excess of 40 mm in several hours.
Some minor disruption due to flooding is likely, with an additional risk of some very isolated more substantial impacts.
