COMMUNITY spirit is a strong core value of Stanford Rugby and for a second year running the club members collected together a host of goodies for the residents of Kynoch court, from tin food stuff to a little bit of luxury, the residents of Kynoch Court were extremely grateful for the harvest festival donations.
Lorraine Maher one of the principles behind the food raise said “At Stanford rugby club we pride ourselves on trying to be a good neighbour and the residents of Kynoch Court hold a special place in our hearts. During the summer a group from the club did some gardening for the residents and last Christmas we gave a carol services for them, so collecting some food items was just another way for us to stay in touch.”
Along with the food donations the rugby club also presented £110.00 for the residents to do as they wish with. Along with Lorraine some of the younger playing members and Youth Chairman Robin O’Connell were present at the Harvest festival offering.
