South Ockendon man in court over knife possession in Dilkes Park

A SOUTH OCKENDON man has appeared in court on public order and knife possession charges.

William Oliver, 50, of Hamble Lane, South Ockendon appeared at Basildon Magistrates

to face two charges.

1. On 04/11/2015 at South Ockendon used or threatened unlawful violence towards other persons and your conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.

2. On 04/11/2015 at South Ockendon, had with you, without good reason or lawful authority, in a public place Dilkes Park, South Ockendon an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed, namely kitchen knife.

Oliver was remanded in custody until his next court appearance at Basildon Crown Court.
