Football: Thurrock produce another five star performance

THURROCK produced a sparkling second half performance to beat Wroxham 5-1 at Ship Lane.

Thurrock opened the scoring in the 34th minute when Jordan Clark scored from the penalty spot.

Wroxham hit back through Nathan Stone in the 42nd minute.

But Thurrock had a wonderful second half. David Cowley regained the lead in the 55th minute, with Michael Toner stretching the lead eight minutes later.

The game was put begin doubt in the later stages with girls by Ross Wall in the 84th and 90th minute.

The result sees Thurrock cement their position of second in the league, five points behind leaders Cray Wanderers but with four games in hand.

They return to action next Saturday in the FA Trophy against Cheshunt.
