ESSEX POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire in a flat in South Ockendon.
The fire service contacted police shortly before 9.05am on November 10 with reports of a flat fire in Eden Green, South Ockendon.
Two people had suffered smoke inhalation and there was fire damage to the front door.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
