Louisa Johnson lets go to give emotionally-charged performance of James Bay ballad

LOUISA JOHNSON’S stunning rendition of James Bay’s Let it Go on Saturday night earned a standing ovation from the X factor judges.

Dressed all in white, Thurrock’s own Louisa was met by a sea of cheers at the climax of the emotionally-charged song. All of the judges agreed that for seventeen years old, her performance and talent was incredible.

Simon Cowell said: “Theres sometimes a moment with singers in this competition – I think you’ve just had that moment with this song. Seventeen years old with this kind of talent, you are actually very sweet and humble when you could be a monster.”

Nick Grimshaw said: “I think what’s impressive is that at seventeen you can tell a story and convey that emotion, it was amazing.”

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said: “It’s unbelievable that at seventeen you could create that [performance].”

Mentor Rita Ora told the young singer: “It was so shocking how comfortable you are up there. You deserve to stay right at the top because it was stunning.”

Louisa went on to thank everyone for voting and said that she’s so grateful to be there. The results show is on tonight at 8pm on ITV.
