The conditions proved to be a great leveller but Thurrock continued to grow in confidence and Thurrock extended their lead when a chip across from Hagen Mumba was well collected by Freddie Russo looking back to his best, to score near the posts, Worsfold missed the conversion for a half time lead of 12-6
The second half was going well for Thurrock apart from a little spell, following James Flavin’s try following a great run from prop Charlie Currie, he fed the second row to score under the posts, Worsfold added the extra’s
A penalty try, and a catch drive try brought the visitors back into the game, but tries from Joss Nunn and Fraser Kidd gave the home side a deserved bonus point victory, the former being converted by Worsfold
