NWES set to bring together businesses in Thurrock

LOCAL Enterprise agency Nwes is holding a free event in Thurrock as part of Small Business Saturday – the campaign that puts small, independent businesses in communities across the country in the national spotlight.

Local businesses and members of the business community are invited to meet, network and learn at The Old Courthouse, Orsett Road, Grays RM17 5DD, on Saturday 5th December, 10.00-14.00.

Now entering its third year Small Business Saturday is already the UK’s most successful small business campaign. Last year 16.5 million adults went out to support a small business on Small Business Saturday with 64% of the UK aware of the campaign.

The Nwes Small Business Saturday events will include business fayres where local businesses can promote their services as well as a free Digital Masterclass.

Kevin Horne, chief executive of Nwes, said: “Nwes exists to help people start and stay in business. Small Business Saturday celebrates exactly the kind of businesses we support and provides them with a much needed boost. We are celebrating by offering networking and learning opportunities to the local business community.

“Thanks to our business premises Nwes is able to host business events and we are proud to be a hub for local business communities. We know how these businesses are creating jobs and fuelling the local economy, so we want to support them and break down any barriers to their success.”

Nwes is hosting six free Small Business Saturday business fayre events 10am-2pm, each with a free Digital Masterclass 10.30am-12.30pm on Saturday 5th December.
