EMERGENCY services attended at a road traffic incident in Chafford Hundred last night (Wednesday)
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust received a call at 6.39pm yesterday to a report of a collision between a collision between a car and pedestrian in Fenner Road, Chafford Hundred.
"A rapid response vehicle and ambulance crew attended to a woman in her 40s who was conscious and breathing and had a suspected head injury.
"She was taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further treatment.
"Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
