Tilbury 3 v 4 Welling United
THE DOCKERS went down fighting against a team three leagues above them at Chadfields.
Welling United opened the scoring in the first minute through former Grays striker Kieron Saint-Aime.
Things got worse for Tilbury as George Porter scored two more in the 33rd and 42nd minute.
The Dockers stuck to their task but it is hard to keep a team in the National League at bay. Ricky Wellard made it 4-0 on the hour.
But Tilbury’s trademark this season has been an indomitable spirit and this was proven by a remarkable three goals in the final eight minutes in the game through Jack Carlile (82′), Kurt Smith (86′) and Daniel Glozier (90′)
Tilbury return to action on Tuesday away against Brightlingsea Regent.
