UKIP MEP calls for urgent talks on C2C rail chaos

Cllr Tim Aker MEP has called for a meeting with the bosses of C2C to look how the chaos caused by the change in schedule and trains can be minimised.

Cllr Tim Aker MEP said: "There was nearly a riot on the trains this week, the new C2C metro trains are a disaster.

"We have seen train times changed, seats ripped out of trains and the length of trains cut in half. With use of public transport growing, why did C2C think less services would be a good idea?

"I have received many complaints from local residents across Thurrock who are furious at the new services being offered. I call on C2C to come to a meeting so I can put forward the problems local people are facing on their trains.

"When changes are made to public transport across the borough I call on the provider to make sure public consultations are held to allow people to feed in their views."
