AVELEY suffered a Christmas hangover when they lost at home to Thamesmead Town at Mill Field.

Both goals came in the second half through Butler (pen 58′) and Vines (61′).

The result means the Millermen are now in thirteenth place and eight points off the play off places.

They return to action away at Haringey Borough on Sat January 2nd.
