ESSEX businesses looking to improve their international trade performance can expect a boost from Essex Chambers of Commerce. Chambers CEO Denise Rossiter has announced the launch of a new specialist skills development package, which will provide county exporters with the insight and expertise to more effectively win, manage and exploit overseas market opportunities.
The new initiative, which will operate under the banner of Export Expert, rolls-out in January 2016 and has been designed to work alongside regular Chambers international trade support services. It will focus on high level yet practical skills geared to meeting the demands of successful export trading. Unlike similar programmes, Export Expert will be delivered under the Essex Chambers brand by nationally renowned and highly experienced master practitioner Margaret Chadwick.
Initially six key topics will be offered as separate full day courses that can be delivered in-house. They are: Export Procedures and Documentation; Incoterms and Export Licence Controls; Finance Options – Letters of Credit; Import – Compliance and Savings; Processing Reliefs and finally, Rules of Origin. For greater effectiveness and added value, course group sizes will be restricted.
In addition to the Export Expert series of courses Essex Chambers will continue to field the regular range of support options currently available to all county-based international traders. More information can be found at the Essex Chambers of Commerce website under the heading of Trading Internationally. There are also two support line numbers covering the north and south of the county: 01206 765277 and 01702 560100.
Denise added "Our key role is to help county enterprises to do better business and nowhere is the opportunity more attractive than with International Trade. Our simple aim with the Export Expert programme is to ensure that those who are already exporting can shift gear and do even better – while those who are taking their first steps into overseas markets can also find all the help and advice they need. Together with our International Trade Partners, we want Essex to seize its fair share of the global business opportunity." The message is clear: if you aim to trade overseas, make Essex Chambers your first port of call. http://www.essexchambers.co.uk
