LAST MONTH, we reported that good samaritans of Grays had started a GOFundMe page in order to help a Grays man who was the victim of a sickening attack in November which left him with a broken leg.
A spokesperson for the campaign said: "We are trying to rasie some money for the homeless man that was attacked in Grays town centre by several youths who were trying to steal his blanket.
"He ended up with a broken leg and has only just recently been let out of hospital. We think that as a community we would like to show him that there are nice people out there that are willing to help."
By early January, the fund has raised close to £360.
