CONSERVATIVE MP, Stephen Metcalfe has been in talks with under-fire rail operators C2C.
The MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock sat down with the the bosses where the controversial new time table was the main item on the agenda.
Mr Metcalfe has been in regular dialogue with commuters who are also on twitter and so reported back using social media.
He said: "Met @c2c_Rail today to discuss ongoing new TT concerns. They accept further changes needed. Collecting data and will announce changes soon.
"At meeting with @c2c_Rail asked they consider how to improve/conduct further public engagement to ensure further changes match commuter need."
Mr Metcalfe’s engagement contrasts somewhat with charismatic Thurrock MP, Jackie Doyle-Price.
She tweeted 19 days ago "Perfectly pleasant journey on the 0814 from Purfleet. People standing only between Rainham & Barking".
From a social media perspective, she has not been heard since.
