Thurrock Men’s 1’s Report
Thurrock 5 v 6 Maldon
THIS was a very rusty affair for the first game back after the Xmas break.
Maldon started the brighter but Thurrock created the better opportunities with five open goals all going wide.
Maldon opened the scoring and went two up. Thurrock then responded bringing it back to 2-2.
Maldon then hit again 3-2. Thurrock scored two to edge in front.
The last 10 min was end to end with both teams giving it everything but Maldon scored two late goals to make it 5-6 to them.
The goal scorers were: skipper Abbott, Declan Milane, Stephen Edwards, Jeff West and Darren Clarke.
