GRAYSON Perry was officially unveiled as one of the many celebrity authors that have signed up to appear at the Essex Book Festival 2016.
The programme for the month-long celebration of writing was revealed on Wednesday, with events at Essex venues throughout all of March.
Perry, the Turner Prize-winning artist who was born and raised in Essex, will be joined by other big names, that include historian David Starkey, actor Simon Callow, politician Vince Cable, Louis de Bernieres (author of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), broadcaster Peter Hennessy, and former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis.
It is the 17th annual celebration of books and culture in Essex.
Festival director Ros Green says "We are hugely excited to be welcoming so many excellent authors and artists to Essex.”
