Police investigate knifepoint robbery at Defoe Parade in Chadwell St Mary

ESSEX Police are investigating a robbery at McColls in Defoe Parade, Chadwell St Mary.

Three men entered the shop and demanded money at about 5.10pm yesterday, Monday January 18.

One was armed with a knife. They threatened staff members and ran off with a four figure sum of cash. No one was injured.

The men are described as white and in their early 20s. One was wearing black trousers and a grey body warmer. One wore dark Adidas trousers and a hooded jumper. The third suspect wore dark clothing and a coat which had a white stripe running down both arms and hood.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Grays CID on 101.
