THE story of the murder of a Surrey schoolboy in Grays will be told on national television tonight (Tuesday).
Breck Bednar, 14, from Caterham, was stabbed to death by an older teenager who groomed him online.
His killer, 19-year-old Lewis Daynes, 19, was later jailed for life.
Breck’s mother Lorin LaFave had feared her son was being manipulated and controlled by Daynes, and had alerted Surrey Police. But her concerns were not acted upon.
After the murder trial, Ms LaFave said: "There are evil people out there who are using the internet to prey on children.
"I want Breck’s tragedy to open the eyes of everyone to recognise the dangers of online predators."
Murder Games: The Life And Death Of Breck Bednar will be screened on BBC Three at 9pm on Tuesday.
