Football: Borrer, Borrer, Borrer sees off Tilbury

Ryman Div One North

Dereham Town 4 v 2 Tilbury

TILBURY went down to their second defeat in a week with a 4-2 loss at Dereham Town.

It did not start well. Luke Tuttle scored from the penalty spot in the tenth minute. Five minutes later, Tilbury were down to ten men when Kurt Smith was sent off.

The Dockers got back in the game and into the lead with goals by Matt Game (34) and Greg Cundle (43).

But a second half hat-trick from Sam Borrer (48, 57 and 62) saw the Dockers leave Dereham empty handed.

The result means that Tilbury are now in eighth place with 56 points, eight points off the play offs with two games in hand.

They return to league action with a trip to Cheshunt on Tuesday night.
