THURROCK’S Jordan Gray aka Talldarkfriend failed to make it through to the next round of BBC1’s The Voice.
A contestant gets through if one of the judges turns their chair around on the Saturday evening prime-time show.
But neither Will-i-am, Boy George, Paloma Faith or Ricky Wilson felt moved by Jordan’s version of Bob Dylan’s "Just Like A Woman".
However afterwards all four were starting to have deep reservations. All four judges went on social media to express their doubts but also their admiration for a stunning singer.
Paloma Faith said: "I’m welling up. @Talldarkfriend you move me. What a treasure. Such a special and valuable human being. Waiting for a simple twist of fate xx"
The Voice does have a wild card entry system at the end of the first round and there is fevered speculation that Jordan could be the lucky but deserved recipient of the card.
