THE ever-popular bedtime story events are back in Thurrock Council’s libraries this spring.
Young children are being invited to bring along their teddy, a pillow and a grown-up to listen to some exciting stories told by Sally Shilling (a council learning services officer).
These family reading events are a great way to enjoy and share stories together, with the added bonus of cookies and hot chocolate too.
The story nights are open to children aged four-plus and their families with tickets costing £2 a child – adults go free – which can be bought from any of the three libraries taking part.
Bedtime stories start at 6pm and run for an hour and are at the following libraries this year: Chadwell Information Centre, Monday, 7 March; Stanford-le-Hope Library, Wednesday, 9 March; and Aveley Library, Thursday, 10 March.
