Man seriously injured in quad bike incident in Grays has died

A MAN has died following an incident in Grays.

Police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a man lying in the road in Oliver Road at Thurrock Trade Park at about 3pm on Sunday February 7.

The 27-year-old man from East London had suffered injuries consistent with a road traffic collision and initial enquiries at the scene suggested he had been riding a quad bike before he was injured.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital, where he died last week as a result of his injuries.

Five men who were with the injured man at the time of the incident were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

A 22-year-old from London, a 25-year-old of no fixed address, and a 30-year-old from Witham were bailed until May 9 pending further enquiries.

A 24-year-old from London and a 22-year-old from Kent were bailed until May 11 pending further enquiries.
