UKIP leader gives damning verdict on Thurrock MP over Thames Crossing

THE LEADER of Thurrock UKIP has made a withering attack on Thurrock MP, Jackie Doyle-Prices’s stance on the new Thames Crossing.

UKIP Thurrock Group Leader, Cllr Graham Snell said: "Tonight, our MP said she doesn’t want to keep banging her head against the brick wall that is Highways England and push for Option D of the Lower Thames Crossing to be reopened for consultation.

"Well, I have to say to Jackie that here in Thurrock we have eleven UKIP councillors who are prepared to keep bashing their heads against that particular wall because, unlike Jackie, we know that if you hit a wall hard enough for long enough, it will fall.

"Jackie can continue to represent the Government she is a member of. We in UKIP however, will carry on representing the people who elected us, the people of Thurrock."
