STUDENTS at South Essex College donned colourful attire to show their support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community.
The College held a ‘Wear it with Pride’ day on Wednesday as part of its LGBT awareness week organised by the Student Union.
During the week the College promoted organisations which provide support and advice, and celebrated the contribution the LGBT community makes to the College and the wider community.
James Vessey-Miller, Student Union LGBT Officer, was at Southend Campus for the event and said he was delighted to see so many people show their support.
He said: “It’s been fantastic. Lots of people wore a splash of colour to show their support and embrace an important initiative.”
