Football: East Thurrock go back to the top of the table

Ryman Premier

Farnborough Town 0 v 3 East Thurrock United

THE ROCKS returned to the top of the table with this comprehensive 3-o victory against struggling Farnborough Town.

It took until just before half time for The Rocks to take the lead with a goal by Tom Wraight (44′).

But then goals by Sam Higgins (54′) and Joe Ellul (58′) put the game beyond doubt.

The only cloud was the sending off of Lewis Smith.

The result means that East Thurrock are on 71 points with just nine games to go.

They return to action at home on Saturday against third placed Tonbridge Angels.
