Thurrock resident speaks at House of Lords event

THURROCK resident, Ella Vine, has spoken at the Palace of Westminster in a civic participation event.

Ella had been invited to speak as a guest speaker at WWAFE’s (Women Worldwide Advancing Freedom & Equality) annual seminar on igniting women into social action.

Ella has drawn from her experience of helping vulnerable people in the fields of domestic violence, homelessness, poverty, human trafficking, slavery, chronic illness and disability to encourage others to also take action on the issues they care about.

Ella said: ”It has been an honour to speak at this event, to share my experiences, to speak up for those who are unheard, to give the voiceless a voice so hopefully others will take an inspiration and the goodness will spread further.

"The key is that we all do things for a reason and that if we feel passionate about something we should get up and do something about it”.
