CONFESSIONS of a photographer were conveyed to West Tilbury WI members by Eddie Hardiman this month. Starting from his early days in Wales, being asked to film a wedding when their photographer had let the couple down.
On one occasion the cake he was asked to film had been cut up by the caterers so only the empty stand and the knife were left. He has had many funny moments to record.
The WI day out to Hannifield Smoke house was a unique experience, The proprietors, a young couple Colin and Kateja built their own smoke house with the help of Kateja’s builder father after taking a course, they were made redundant when their work of being chauffer’s to many celebrities was ended. The smoked Salmon, Trout and various cheeses were delicious combined with pate’ with crackers that were for tasting. Burning wood chips from Germany of Oak and Beech for their flavour, they supply Farmers markets various supermarkets and many events.
The Spring Group meeting tickets were on sale.
Four members are going to Brighton for the WI AGM meeting in June.
Raffle prizes were won by Dorothy Hawes, Amy Reynolds, Mary Clayden.
Competition was won by Grace Patch.
Next Meeting is the First Tuesday of the month May 3rd ‘AGM followed by a Beetle Drive ‘
