Here are a few Thurrock runners who are taking on the challenge. They are all running for fantastic causes. We have provided links so please please please, even if you pledge 50 pence, it will help.

2. Good luck to Paul Ruskin. Paul said: "I live in East Tilbury and I’m running the London marathon for The Neuro Foundation. This is a UK charity that aims to improve the lives of those affected by Neurofibromatosis (NF) my wife Hollie being one of them who has NF1.
"Last year we found out Hollie was pregnant and early this year she lost the baby because of the Neurofibromatosis. There is currently no cure for Neurofibromatosis and not many people understand it but 1 in 3000 babies are born with the condition."

3. Samantha and Kirsty Larkin…
Samantha said: "I live in Grays (Arthur Street) and this will be my first year running the Marathon.
"I’m doing it alongside my sister, Kirsty Larkin and we are running for AgeUK. We have already raised £2,500 although we have another £1,300 to go!
