AN angry UKIP councillor has demanded answers over another power cut in Purfleet.
Aveley and Uplands councillor, Peter Smith lives in the area and was a victim of a power cut that lasted several hours on Wednesday evening.
Cllr Smith said: "In the light of another power outage in Purfleet for the third time in the past year Cllr Peter Smith has questions over the resilience of the local power network.
Cllr Peter Smith said: "When I arrived home from work this evening I found the area without power. Unfortunately this is now happening far too frequently, I guess the local infrastructure just isn’t up for the job?
"In 15yrs I’ve never witnessed so many power outages as we as local residents have faced recently. I have contacted UK Power Networks to find out what is going on? I await their response."
