THURROCK CVS would like to remind local community groups/organisations, that applications for the Voluntary Sector Development Fund 2016-2017 will close on May 7th.
The fund, administrated by Thurrock CVS on behalf of Thurrock Council, aims to support local community groups/organisations to deliver a project to benefit the local community.
Formal non-statutory or non-profit organisations are eligible to apply. Projects and groups will need to reflect one of Thurrock Councils priorities.
Build pride, responsibility and respect to create safer communities
• Create welcoming, safe, and resilient communities which value fairness
• Work in partnership with communities to help them take responsibility for shaping their quality of life
• Empower residents through choice and independence to improve their health and well-being
The successful applicants will be awarded a grant of £500 to £5,000 for revenue or small capital purchases up to £1,000.
Any applications after the May 7th 2016 deadline will not be considered.
