AN out-of school club based in Stifford Clays has received a glowing report from government inspectors, Ofsted.
Darlin Buds Limited is based in the grounds of Stifford Clays Junior School on Whitmore Avenue in Grays.
Ofsted came to visit on April 16th.
The report states:
The providers and staff are an effective management team. They have worked together to address the actions and recommendations set at the last inspection. This has lead to improvements in the quality of the provision.
Staff create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children to play in after their day at school. Children behave well. They learn to work together cooperatively on tasks. They show good social skills and demonstrate care and respect for each other.
Staff promote children’s understanding of following good personal hygiene skills and an awareness of leading a healthy lifestyle. They provide the children with healthy food to eat and promote daily exercise.
Recruitment procedures are robust and help to ensure the suitability of all staff. Deployment of staff is effective, enabling them to vigilantly supervise children at all times.
Strong links with the host school help staff to effectively share information about children’s care and welfare.
Partnerships with parents are good. Staff share information with parents about the activities and routines that their children take part in. Parents state that they value the service and the range of activities provided, and that they know their children enjoy their time with staff.
