ESSEX Police were contacted shortly after 8.10pm on April 27 with reports an empty industrial unit had been broken into at an industrial estate in Oliver Road, Grays.
An unauthorised traveller encampment was then set up inside.
Officers attended and spoke with the travellers and the landowner. Police monitored the situation overnight and remained at the site again today, April 28.
We are continuing to speak to all parties involved to resolve this issue as soon as possible and will explore all the options available.
Criminal investigations will take place into any damage caused or other offences reported at the location and we will look to prosecute any individuals responsible.
