WOODSIDE Academy have been taking part in ‘The Big Pedal’ for the last two weeks.
Children and staff have cycled to school, taken part in cycle clubs and had Cycle related PE lessons. This culminated in a whole school Super Hero day on Friday 29th April where staff and children dressed as their favourite super heroes.
Currently Woodside are nationally in 106th place from over 2000 schools taking part this year and regionally in 18th place. The final tally will be made on May 9th.
Woodside are a supportive Bike it school and the only Essex school to have achieved Bike-It Gold. Children and staff have thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks which is run by Sustains.
