Local election candidates in Thurrock give thanks to the public

Oliver Gerrish

Councillor for West Thurrock and South Stifford

I would like to thank the residents of West Thurrock and South Stifford ward who re-elected me as their councillor on Thursday 5th May. It’s a privilege to represent the ward and I’m proud of what we have achieved so far.

I want to thank too the many people who campaigned for me – it was a real team effort and a great triumph for community politics.

I was very pleased to talk to hundreds of people over the course of the campaign and I am looking forward to continuing to advocate for the ward: the delivery of Purfleet regeneration, the anti-HGV measures, the litter cleanup that we so badly need and many other issues.

For those that didn’t vote for me, or didn’t vote at all, I’ll be there to represent you as well, alongside my excellent ward colleagues Cliff and Victoria.

Cllr Terry Piccolo

Stanford le Hope West.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those residents that put their faith in me and voted for me on the 5th May, I can assure you it has not been misplaced, I will always do my utmost to see that Stanford le Hope West and all residents receive the acknowledgement we deserve for being such an active community and fight to gain the services and support we deserve. As I am now your elected councillor I will have more opportunity to influence the decisions that affect our ward.

I would like to thank the individuals that helped me during my campaign, I will not name them here but you know who you are and I am very grateful for all your efforts.

I will be publishing information on how you can contact me with regard to council issues and also details of the fortnightly surgeries that I intend to hold.

Cllr Tony Fish

Councillor for Grays Riverside

I would like through Your Thurrock to thank the voters of Grays Riverside for electing me as their new ward Councillor last Thursday. I will do my best to repay their faith in me.

Qaisar Abbas

Candidate for South Chafford

*Thank You South Chafford*

I would like to say a big thank you to the residents of South Chafford who supported, voted and believed in me in Thursday’s Local Election. I received almost 40% of the votes cast but unfortunately I lost this Election by only 77 votes.

I also thank all the people who took the time to vote for me. I would also like to thank my campaign team who campaigned for me 6 days a week during last three months.
