THE May meeting of Bulphan WI was another busy one! The two national resolutions were presented via power point, then discussed and voted on ahead of the national AGM in Brighton in June. We have a delegate attending this along with several members as observers.
Then our own AGM was held with the 2016/17 committee being elected, headed once again by the fab Janet McCheyne as President.
Mary Wellman a member celebrating her 80th birthday received a Queen Elizabeth rose bush to mark the occasion. The annual competition cup was awarded to Denise Wakeling who accrued the most points over the year for helping out & taking part in competitions.
Everyone who had been a member in the centenary year 2015 received a pin badge replica of the Institute banner to commemorate the event.
The 8th of June meeting is Crafts with Carol Allen. We will have to wait until the night to find out what we’ll be having a go at making!
