The informative course will give you the foundation and confidence for progression to become an Appointed First Aider at work. It covers a variety of first aid subject areas such as the role of the First Aider, Equipment, Recording of incidents and actions, Importance of basic hygiene, Acting Safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency, Unconscious and/or not breathing casualty, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, Wounds and Bleeding. Shock, Choking and other Minor Injuries. This course includes protocols for Adults, Children and Babies.
The course is available to all adult learners over the age of 19 and costs £136.50 including the qualification fee or is free to those learners in receipt of JSA or work-related ESA (hurry, if interested – due to changes in funding, this course will no longer be free from September).
