ESSEX Police were contacted shortly before 9.40pm on Wednesday June 15 with reports of an assault in High Street, Grays.
A 53-year-old man from Grays was struck in the face and suffered a minor cut to the face.
A section of the street was cordoned off while forensic examinations took place.
Three men – two aged 24 from Grays and one aged 24 from South Ockendon – were arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in custody for questioning.
